A:
The museum has an extensive collection of Reefer Madness pamphlets, books, magazine articles etc. As much as possible has been computer scanned and is available on CD-ROM.

A:
While there are numerous Spanish Language mentions of the word, some go back to the 1880's, to the best of our knowledge, the first English language "Smuggling the Mariguana" (note the spelling) which appeared in the Daily Northwestern (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) on Dec 6, 1897.

Q: What is the goal of the museum?

Our goal is to fully document the origin of the anti-Medical Marihuana laws (a.k.a. the Reefer Madness era) as well as the pre-1937 (meaning legal) medical uses of Cannabis.

First you can join the museum society, in addition we are always looking for volunteers to help us obtain copies of OTR's as well as newspaper and magazine articles from libraries local to you.
